33 weeks

We had an appointment at 33 weeks, and to our surprise I was already dilated to a four and a half! I could have been admitted into the hospital for labor at that! Instead, we went into the hospital for some steroid shots to help the boys lungs development more, not knowing when they would come, but knowing that it could anytime now. They also put me on medicine to help stop the contractions. However I was not able to stay on those for very long because of a burning reaction I got in my limbs. I was put on bed rest....UGG.

I am not good at bed rest! There was so much to do, and I wanted to do it. I would see Ellie playing and I wanted to enjoy her while it was just her.

Also knowing that I could go into labor at anytime and I wasn't was driving me crazy. I wanted this pregnancy to be over! I was so ready to be able to sleep on my belly again, and have my back be normal again rather then the over extended muscles that ached all the time!

Little did I know this would last another two weeks....

2 More Months

Miss Ellie is now walking, pushing things around, and wrestling with things in her way. She has been a lot of fun, playing games and getting her to laugh. She loves to be bounced around, but I have to be careful doing so because once I start I can't stop. After awhile, I will pay the price and cease up.

Thing one and thing two are doing great! They are very active boys, and are actually measuring big according to my appointment yesterday. Our Doctor has a 3D ultrasound so we were able to use that to see the boys. We mainly only say Baby B though, Baby A's head was too low to see.

I feel like a whale lately. It takes a lot more effort to move around, and often my muscles cease and I am frozen til Jared can move me. He has been a lot of help lately, I feel like such a burden. I don't sleep much anymore, as my belly takes pillows now to hold it up, I cannot get comfortable, and when I lie down it is playtime for the twins. It has been fun seeing all the movement in my stomach though.

I now see the Doctor every two weeks so hopefully this last league will go quickly!

Ready, Set...Go

The title is for a variety of activities. One being Ellie is now full force crawling, and has been for a couple weeks now. Right after learning to crawl, she wasted no time in standing herself up...there have been lots of bumps and bruises from falling. She is a very curious little girl, as most kids are. I cannot keep my eyes off her for two long before there is a cupboard emptied or laundry everywhere. It is fun to see her get more independence though, physically hard at time but still fun.

I am now 21 weeks along in this pregnancy, and I look like I did at the end of Ellie's pregnancy. With her pregnancy I never got a outie belly button though and with this one I am...Not sure how I feel about it. Bugger on the left side of the belly is more active than the one on the right, and every once in awhile I feel activity like they are hitting and wrestling with one another.

Because I am getting much bigger, and doing so faster, it has taken a toll on my body. My back is in constant pain, and I cannot hold Ellie for too long before I start cramping up. The Braxton Hicks are starting it feels like, which seems early to me, but maybe it is a normal thing with twins.

On another note, we are getting ready to enjoy time with the Ray family in Utah and Idaho. So I have been spending my time finishing craft projects, cleaning the house and getting things ready. I like to come home after a vacation to a clean home, thus the cleaning and getting the crafts done, so I can put them away.

It should be a fun, exhausting weekend, and I hoping that it won't take too much out of me. I have been debating whether or not I should even go due to my current state and pain. However, I know that if I don't I would be sitting at home wondering what I was missing out on. This will be Ellie's first time camping in a tent and being outdoors she will love how much there will be to explore.

When we get back, we get to see our two little guys once again! Which is very exciting!

And the Verdict is....

Well I have officially popped...or so I think. I know my belly is only going to grow larger and larger more rapidly. I don't think I was this size with Ellie's pregnancy 'til I was seven or eight months along. I am really exhausted all the time, and I really want some flexeril (muscle relaxers) for my back. I was lucky to get some with Ellie's pregnancy.

We went to the doctor a month ago and he told us he was sure about the sex of one of them and the other he had a good idea but wasn't positive. So this month was the official gender verdict....and the answer is... We are having TWO BOYS! Jared could not be more excited to have his boys and Ellie is already getting her revenge on them by kicking mommy's stomach.

On another note, Ellie is now successfully crawling and sitting up on her own. She is a speedy one! She loves peek-a-boo, and she loves playing the game of her head getting covered by a blanket and she has to find her way out, after which we say boo and she laughs. She is a cutie who brings such joy into our lives. We can't wait to have two more to add to our little clan, even though we know it will be hectic at first.
At the top is Baby #1, in the middle is both of their heads, and at the bottom is Baby #2

California

A couple weekends ago we went to Santa Barbara, for a mission farewell. It was Ellie's first time at the beach and it was fun to watch play in the sand and get her toes wet in the water. Here are a few photos.

The Big Reveal

Jared and I had our first little girl Ellie, in October of 2011. She was just too cute that we wanted another one and decided to go for it again.

We found out we were pregnant in March, and we were so excited for baby number two!

Our first appointment was at the end of April, I was about 9 weeks along. It seemed to be just like the last pregnancy nothing new. Our doctor told us it looked like there was only one baby, then he says, " I may have spoken too soon..." WHAT?! " There is actually two babies." HOLY CRAP!

I look over at Jared and he has these big bug eyes in amazement, and I couldn't contain myself. I bust up laughing and had a hard time containing myself so that our doctor could finish the ultrasound.

So we are having twins, more specifically we are having fraternal twins. So we told each other that we would not talk about the overwhelming financial burden this may be, and just be excited for a bit.

These next several years are going to be crazy, and I haven't been able to find any blogs about others who have had Irish triplets to get advice from and/or to be warned of what the years might hold for us. So I thought I start one, maybe it will be useful for someone, and for others it may be just pure entertainment to see how we handle things.
